ABOUT US

Built by a Trader,
for Traders

Hey, I'm Concept211, the person behind PhotonGuides. I trade Solana, I write the tooling I use to do it, and I got tired of watching search results for Photon fill up with review-farm templates that quote a fee number nobody bothered to check against the docs.

I use Photon as one terminal among several. That matters, because a site that only knows one product tends to oversell it. I run Memescope filters, I set priority fees and Jito bribes by hand, and I have paid the flat 1% on both sides of enough round trips to know exactly how that drag feels on a 50/50 win rate. When I write about what a fill costs or why a transaction failed, it is because it happened to my own wallet.

Most Photon "guides" online are one of three things: affiliate pages with no substance, a template applied to a dozen platforms with the name swapped, or content written in 2024 that still recommends BullX as a live alternative even though it stopped trading on 1 June 2026. I built this site to be the version I wanted when I started.

My Mission

Become the reference for Photon that cites its sources. Every fee figure traces to Photon's own GitBook. Every market-position figure traces to the DefiLlama API with the pull date attached. Where something is genuinely unknown, the page says so rather than filling the gap with a confident guess.

Full Transparency

This site earns through Photon's referral link. When you sign up through our referral link (handle @Concept211), here is what is actually true:

  • Your cost does not change. Photon charges a flat 1% on every buy and sell with or without a referral. There is no discount to pass on, and anyone telling you otherwise is inventing it
  • Photon publishes no commission schedule. Not in the GitBook, not in the docs index, nowhere. The widely-repeated "30% of fees forever" figure comes from affiliate blogs, not from Photon, so I will not print a rate I cannot source

So the honest pitch is small: if these pages saved you time, using the link costs you nothing and helps keep them updated. If you would rather go direct, go direct. The referral page lays out everything that is documented and everything that is not.

Why Trust Me

  • Active Solana trader with a funded Photon account, not a writer working from other people's reviews
  • Every fee claim on this site quotes Photon's own documentation, linked at the point of the claim
  • Every revenue and market-share figure comes from the DefiLlama API with the pull date printed next to it
  • We publish Photon's decline. Fees are down roughly 99% from the January 2025 peak, and pretending otherwise would make every other number on the site worthless
  • No fake bonuses, no invented commission rates, no "exclusive" deals that do not exist
  • Follow me on X (@Concept211). I'm a real person, not a content farm

How We Research and Verify Guides

Every walkthrough is done on the live platform before it is published. If a page describes a Memescope filter, a limit-order expiry, or the shape of the private-key reveal screen, it is because I went and looked. I do not write about features I have not used, and I do not write about features that are not documented. A lot of Photon content online claims a Telegram bot, a wallet tracker, or a copy-trading feature. None of those appear anywhere in Photon's documentation, so none of them appear here.

Platform mechanics are cross-referenced against Photon's official documentation and market data against the DefiLlama API. Where the two disagree, or where a claim only exists on third-party sites, the page flags it as unverified instead of laundering it into a fact. The full rules are on the methodology page.

This category moves fast and it moves in both directions. Competitors die (BullX, Nova, Vector all did within twelve months), get acquired (Padre is now Pump.fun's Terminal), and change their fee tiers. Pages are revisited when that happens. If you spot something stale, use the contact box below and it usually gets fixed within 24 hours.

Where to Start

New to Photon? These hubs cover the ground in the order most people need it:

  • Getting Started - create the wallet, save the key, fund with SOL, place a first trade
  • Trading Features - Memescope, limit and DCA orders, MEV modes, S1/S2/S3 presets
  • Fees - the flat 1%, and what priority fees and bribes really add
  • Comparisons - Photon against Axiom, GMGN and the rest, on DefiLlama data
  • Security & Custody - the one-time key reveal, exporting to Phantom, and the fake-Photon sites
  • Points & Token - why there is no Photon token, and what the points leaderboard actually is
